BACK CONTACT FOR MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY AND RELIABILITY More efficient conversion of solar radiation by contacting the back of the solar cells: - The contacts on the front of a module reflect sunlight and about 6% of the incoming light remains unused. - Sharps Back Contact technology reduces reflection losses 48 CELLS FOR EASY HANDLING Measuring 1318x980 mm and weighing 17kg, the 48 cell module is lighter and more compact than a conventional 60 cell module of comparable performance, making it easier to handle on the roof. UPRIGHT OR CROSS MOUNTING FOR MAXIMUM FLEXIBILITY The module can be mounted on either the long or short side of the frame. This gives you maximum flexibility in the arrangement of the modules and allows you to make optimum use of any roof surface. EXCELLENT MODULE DESIGN Sharp's back-contact modules were awarded the "Good Design Award". The award has been presented by the Japan Institute for Design Promotion since 1957 and is Asia's most important design award. It honours innovative products that enrich life and have the potential to promote industrial growth. TESTED SNOW LOAD OF 5,400 PA The modules have been tested according to IEC61215 for a snow load of 5,400 Pa and are therefore also ideal for use in zones with higher snow loads. In 2011, the first rear-contacted modules were introduced in Japan. In the many regions with heavy snowfall in Japan, the modules have also often withstood reality testing outside the laboratory. FOURFOLD PROTECTION OF THE JUNCTION BOX In addition to the quality standards of a module, the junction box is also an important factor for the longevity of a PV system for us. We create excellent conditions with four protective measures: 1. the contacts are soldered into the junction box instead of just being clamped 2. the diodes have an additional heat sink and are therefore better protected against overheating 3. the connection cables are firmly connected to the junction box instead of just screwed on 4. the junction boxes are filled to protect them from water

Sharp

Sharp Solar was founded in 1959 in Osaka, Japan, and is a leading manufacturer of polycrystalline and monocrystalline solar panels. Sharp Solar was the first company in the world to embark on research and development into solar cell devices and has been at the forefront of solar engineering and development for over half a century.

The company produces high-quality, reliable PV modules used in residential, commercial, and utility applications worldwide. Sharp's track record of over 60 years has earned it a solid reputation in the world of solar.

The company's goal is to keep providing eco-friendly, energy-producing solar power systems to countries around the world to help solve the pressing energy challenges we face and to make people's lives even better by providing energy solutions (systems and services) that can make clever use of electricity.
